The Men's Volleyball team shows what teamwork is about.
West Henderson High School has its very first men’s volleyball team. JV is 9th and 10th while Varsity is 11th and 12th grade. “I enjoy hitting the volleyball over the net and I like being with my friends. I chose volleyball because I thought it would be a fun extracurricular activity,” said Walker Houlihan, 9. As JV perseveres through their strong determination, they will outstand their competition. “I’m doing volleyball because I did Volleybuff the past two years, which was a lot of fun, so being able to play the actual sport of volleyball at West was nice. I enjoy it because it’s competitive and easy to get into, and pick up. I also enjoy the purpose of the sport and the ability to keep the energy positive throughout it,” said Braydn Ross, 11, who is also the team captain. The team strives to begin and further the men’s volleyball team legacy.
