Have you heard our seniors are getting assassinated all over town? With guns? No, don’t worry, it’s only water guns. You may be asking, is this safe? Are there any risks?
Monday, March 31 at 8:00 am the senior assassin started. All the seniors had the opportunity to join the game by paying $5 as an entry fee. After they paid they would be able to join the Splashin app. The participants then armed themselves with water guns, inflatables and goggles.
The App tracks your location and likewise, you can see your “friends” locations so you know where to find them. When you assassinate someone, you automatically gain their person for your “hit list” as your new victim. But if you don’t shoot the person you had at first within a week you get eliminated yourself. So you better get going.
The rules might seem simple, but they include some pretty complex ideas: keeping your location on at all times and no trespassing on private property, unless you have permission from a house resident,
Last Tuesday a new rule came to life: If you wear your goggles as protection once, when someone shoots you, you can’t wear them again.
Sydney Hart was the first one to be eliminated by Brayden Barksdale. Now only 23 seniors are remaining in the assassin.
The game will keep going until the last person is standing, so it’s unknown for how many days or weeks it’ll be continuing. Good luck to all our seniors!
